IIM Ahmadabad- Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad
The Indian Institute of Management is a chain of top management schools that aim to create top notch Managers having global demands. Amongst the six IIM, IIM- Ahmadabad is considered as the top Business school that is rightfully claimed as the toughest B-School to get in. The Institute was established in the year 1961 with the joint venture of Government of India as well as Government of Gujarat and the various industries.
Campus:
The campus of IIM, Ahmadabad spreads over an area of 0.40 square kilometers of 100 acres. The old campus of this prestigious institute was designed by Louis Kahn. The Institute has been relocated in the new campus that however shares the old design such as hollowness as well exposed brick facades.
Seat Availability:
Out of the total seats available in the Institute, 22.5 % seats will be reserved for scheduled castes and scheduled tribe candidates. 3% of the total seats will be reserved for PWD (Person with Disability). The IIM will be phasing out implementation of the reserved seat for OBC’s (Other Backward Castes) based candidates.
Course Offered:
The IIM, Ahmadabad offers post graduate degree in the course of Business Administration. One of the typical features of the course is that it circles social causes more as compared to the rest of the IIM’s.
The Indian Institute of Management located in the beautiful city of Ahmadabad is the top Business School of the world and has attained even higher rank then Harvard Business School.
