Indian Institute of Technology Department of Management Studies (IITD-DMS) conducts each and every year an admission process for admission in to its Part time program for MBA. It is a 3 year part time (evening) management program with focus on the Technology management specially for working executives. Candidates can specialize in any of these fields: Marketing, Finance, Strategy, Human Resource, Operation and Information Technology.

The institute is considered amongst the most prestigious institutes for business education in India and provides a number of postgraduate programs to the students. For selection in the Part Time MBA program of IITD-DMS written test, Interviews & Group Discussion is conducted at IIT Delhi. First the candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their scores in written test. These selected candidates are then called for an Interview and Group Discussion. Once these are over, final list of selected candidates are prepared on the basis of written test, Group Discussion, Interview, Work Experience & Academic Performance in the past.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree of minimum 4 years in any of these field(Engineering and Technology/Agricultural Engineering/Architecture/Pharmacy) OR Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, Electronic Science, Computer Application, Informational/Computational Science, Operations Research, Environmental Science. Candidates with a Master’s degree in Economics or Commerce can also apply, but they must have a score of at least 60 Percent or a minimum CGPA of 6.75 along with a work experience of not less than 2 years. 5% relaxation is given to SC/ST candidates.

How to Apply:

Candidates need to apply through a form downloaded from the web-page www.iitd.ac.in . Once done they need to send the filled form to IIT Delhi along-with a demand draft.

Availability of Application Forms: end of the month of February, 2011

Last date of receipt of application form: third week of March, 2011

Written test: end of the month of March, 2011

Group discussion/Interview: third week of April, 2011

Declaration of Results: 1st week of May, 2011

Pattern of Examination:

Written Test will be of 2 hours consisting of 120 multiple choice questions divided in the following fours sections:

Verbal Communication: 30 questions

Analytical/Logical Reasoning : 30 questions

Quantitative/Data Interpretation: 30 questions

Business Awareness: 30 questions

Each question will have 4 options. 1 mark will be awarded for every correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for an incorrect answer.
