The Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences (ILBS) is an institute established by Govt of National Territory of Delhi. It is an autonomous institute. There are several post graduate medical courses offered by this institute for the aspirants. The medical courses offered by this institute are approved by Medical Council of India. The main courses offered by the institute are DM Hepatology and MCh Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) surgery. The duration of the courses are three years. Large number of candidates applies for the test each year for getting admission for the above mentioned courses.

Structure and Syllabus of Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences New Delhi DM and MCh Courses Admission Test

The selection of the candidates for the DM and MCh courses offered by Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences in New Delhi will be on the basis of a written entrance test and a departmental assessment test and a personal interview. The written test is on objective type format and it includes 70 Questions. The marks allotted for this section is also 70 marks. The test consists of questions from the standard of MD and MS course. The test consists of objective type questions with different choices. Those who pass the written test will be selected for the departmental assessment and interview. This section consists of 30 marks. Those who successfully clear all the tests will be included in the rank list and selected for joining the courses.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who have a MBBS degree and MD or DNB degree in medicine or Paediatrics are eligible for applying for the DM Hepatology course. The candidates who have completed their MBBS degree and MS/DNB degree in General Surgery can apply for the MCh Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) Surgery course. All this degree attained by the candidates should be recognized by Medical Council of India. The candidates must have registered in State Medical Council or Indian Medical Council. Those who fulfil all this conditions can apply for the admission test.

How to Apply?

The application form for the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences New Delhi DM and MCh Courses Admission Test is published in the official website of ILBS. The candidates can download the application form from the website. The candidates have to filled the application form and send it to the institute in post or directly before the last date. A demand draft of Rs.2000/- should be enclosed along with the application form. The demand draft should be in favour of the Director of ILBS Institute. The fee once paid will not be refundable.

How to fill the Form?

The form should be filled by following all the guidelines in the information bulletin. Any mistakes in filling the form lead to the cancellation of the form. The filled form should include all necessary details. All the needed documents should be enclosed with the application form. The demand draft drawn with the exam fee must be send along with the application form. The duly filled form should be reached the Directors Office before the due date.

  • Declaration of final result of DM & MCh: Last Week of July, 2012
