Joda Women’s College was established in the year 1987 with the aim of empowering women by offering higher education. The college holds the pride of being the first college in the area of Joda and the college is offering education under the affiliation of North Orissa University from the year 1998, before which the college was affiliated to Utkal University.

Courses offered:

The college is offering both intermediate and under graduation degree courses in the faculty of arts and intermediate course alone in the faculty of commerce. The degree course in arts is offered at both pass and honors level. In addition to these courses, the college is also offering certificate courses in fine arts, music and fashion designing.

Distance education mode:

Apart from offering education under regular stream of education, Joda Women’s College is also acting as an approved study centre of North Orissa University through which courses like PGDCA and MBA are offering under self-financing category.

Facilities at Joda Women’s College:

For the sake of students and staff members, several facilities like well-furnished auditorium, SC & ST cell, sexual harassment cell, anti-ragging cell, grievance redressal cell, career & counseling cell, partially-automated library, well-furnished reading room, home science lab, UGC network resource centre, remedial coaching, equal opportunity cell, soft skill development cell, earn & learn club, etc…are functioning under the college.

College Library:

The library of Joda Women’s College started to function from the year 1987 with a collection of just 32 books, but now the collection of books has reached 4000 mark even after the library suffered a great loss due to flood. The library is provided with separate reading room and the students are allowed access to the library even after the college hours. The library is also provided with three computers with internet access and LCD projector.
