Competition Commission of India was established under the Government of India. The commission is responsible of enforcing the Competition Act, 2002 throught India. The commission is responsible for fulfilling the objectives of the Competition Act, 2002. The major objective of the act is to protect the interests of the customers and ensure the freedom of the trade in the markets of India. The commission is comprises of a Chairperson and six other members and all these appointments are made by the Central Government. The competition commission of India is responsible to make markets work for the benefit of cutomers.

Job Profile:

Eligible and qualified candidates are invited to apply for filling up the following vacant posts of Joint Director General, Deputy Director General, Assistant Director General and Office Manager in Competition Commission of India. Vacancies are to be filled in purely on deputation basis only for a period of three years which can be extended upto 5 years depending on the requirement of the commission. However, the vacancies are likely to change. All interested candidates must ensure their eligibility for their desired position in advance.

1. Recruitment of Joint Director General:
No. of posts: Only 4 posts are available.
Eligibility: Officers of the All India Services of Central Civil Services Group ‘A’ or Autonomous Organisations or universities etc are eligible to apply for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8700.

2. Recruitment of Deputy Director General:
No. of posts: Only 13 posts are available.
Eligibility: Officers of the All India Services of Central Civil Services Group ‘A’ or Autonomous Organisations or universities etc are eligible to apply for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 7600.

3. Recruitment of Assistant Director General:
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Eligibility: Officers, who are working in analogous post or five years experience in the Grade Pay of Rs. 5400, are eligible to apply for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.

4. Recruitment of Officer Manager (CS):
No. of posts: Only 2 posts are available.
Eligibility: Officers, who are working in analogous post or two years experience in the Grade Pay of Rs. 4800, are eligible to apply for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.
