Eligibility condition for CBI exam:

• You should have completed bachelors degree in any strem from a recognized Institute/University.
  
• Final year students are not allowed to appear for the exam
  
• Your age must be between 21 to 27 years (relaxation of upto 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC in upper age limit).

Pattern of Examination:

Question paper is of objective types and questions are related to-

For this exam you have to complete first your graduation and your age must be between 21 to 27.

C.B.I is Investigation branch in India..
If you want to join C.B.I then you have to pass graduation in any stram after that you have to qualify the Combine Graduate Preliminary Exam(C.G.P.E) conducted by Staff Selection Commission(S.S.C)..

Age limt of this exam is 21-30 year..

I want to join C.B.I., I have completed my B.Sc course in 2001, I have all most read 2 years of 3 years LL.B course but not completed the degree. My father was retired as D.S.P. of Assam Police...but my age is now 32....Please give me chance in any department....also in forensic lab etc.etc. for pride my nation.

To join CBI you need to appear for CGPE exam i.e. Combined Graduate preliminary Exam which is conducted by SSC (Staff selection commission)board every year.

Central Bureau of Investigation is the top most investigation agency in the country.It investigates the top and big cases in the country.For getting into that you need to write the exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission.

The Eligibility details of the P.O posts are as follows:

Candidates must have completed graduation from any recognized university.

*Minimum 21 years of age.

*The maximum age allowed is 27 years.

*Age relaxation is provided for reserved categories.

* 5 years for SC/ST Candidates.

*3 years for OBC candidates.

The upper age is relaxable for certain categories of employees working under government of India and Defense Services Personnel.

Physical Requirements:
HEIGHT: For Male-165 cms.
For Female-150 cms.
CHEST: MALE- 76 cms.
No such requirement for females.

EXAM PATTERN: The exam pattern is as follows.
1.Preliminary Examination.
2.Main Examination.

In the Preliminary Examination,there are two papers.Paper 1 consists of General Awareness and General Intelligence.It consists of 100 questions and for 100 marks.The duration of the exam is 2 hours.In the Paper 2 there are 100 questions for 100 marks and all the questions are on Arithmetic only.Even the duration of this paper is 2 hours.Keep in mind that qualifying in the preliminary examination will not offer you a job,this will make you eligible for the Main examination.Coming to the final examination,the candidates who have passed in the preliminary examination are only allowed for the Main examination.

In the Main Examination there are two stages.They are written examination and personality test.The syllabus for the written examination is:
GENERAL STUDIES-100M
ENGLISH-100M
LANGUAGE-100M
ARITHMETIC-200M
COMMUNICATION SKILLS AND WRITING-100M

In the Personality test,they will test the personality and Mental ability of the candidates.The above mentioned are the eligibility and other details of the CBI.

CBI post the department under the government of india and the main work of this is to investigate complex cases.

Eligibility for CBI post is:

* you should be passed bachelor degree form recognized university.
* you must between 21 to 30 years old
* you must be an indian citizen

Selection process is:

1. written test: in this we have two parts
In part1, we have general studies and arithmetic test
In part2, we have general knowledge,english and general awareness

2. interview:On the basis of your performance you will get the job.

In order to apply for CBI you will have to appear for the IB(Intelligence Bureau) Exam.

There are two types of IB exam.These are:-
>>Clerical.
>>Managerial.

>>For both the post you will require minimum age of 18 years.

For clerical >> Minimum educational qualification required is 10+2 pass out with 60%.

For Managerial >> Minimum educational qualification required is Graduation pass out with 60%.

In this exam the questions will be asked from the following sections:-

To become an CBI officer you have to appear in the SSC conducted Combined Graduate Level exams

This Exam is conducted by SSC each year.

Educational qualifications:
Bachelors Degree Pass in any stream
No Minimum Percentage is required in Graduation

AGE-
Minimum 18 years
Maximum 27 years
OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations

Next Tier 1 Exam of the SSC Combined Graduate level will be held in May 2014 Notification and advertisement will come out in Jan 2014
