JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty is a constituent unit of the JSS University located in Mysore and this is one of the oldest pharmacy institutions in the state of Tamil Nadu. The college came into existence in the year 1980 with the objective of offering quality education in the field of pharmacy. Initially, the college was just offering diploma courses alone in the field of pharmacy and later doctoral, PG and UG courses were also introduced.

Eligibility Criteria:

B. Pharm:

For seeking admission to the B. Phram course in JSS College of Pharmacy, candidates must have completed their HISC/AISSC/PUC/PDC/HSC or equivalent examination with mathematics/zoology & botany/biology, chemistry and physics subjects with not less than 35% of marks in each of these subjects separately and not less 50% of marks in aggregate. In addition, candidates must have studied English as a subject in the qualifying examination and must have secured not less than 35% of marks in English. Even candidates who have completed their Diploma in Pharmacy with not less than 50% of marks can seek lateral admission to the second year of B. Pharm course.

M. Pharmacy:

Candidates who have completed their Bachelor of Pharmacy from the JSS University or any other equivalent university as approved by the JSS University with not less than 50% of aggregate  marks are eligible to seek admission to the Master of Pharmacy course.

Pharm. D:

Pharm. D is six-month course offered by JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty and to seek admission to this course, candidates must have completed their 10+2 with chemistry and physics as compulsory subjects along with biology or mathematics. Even candidates who have completed their Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution can apply for this course provided they have completed 17 years of age on or before the 31st December of the year in which he/she is seeking admission.

Pharm. D (Post Baccalaureate):

For seeking admission to this course, candidates must have completed their Bachelor of Pharmacy from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India.
