Damodar Valley Corporation Limited is a Government of India Enterprise. It was established on July 7, 1948 by the Government of India. Damodar Valley Corporation Limited is the first multipurpose river valley project of the country. The main objective behind the establishment of the corporation was to control the damages caused by the devastating floods in the valley.

Job Profile:

Eligible as well as qualified candidates are invited to apply for the following posts of Junior Engineer, Junior Pharmacist and Assistant cum Junior Hindi Translator in Damodar Valley Corporation. The post of Junior Engineer is available in different disciplines or deparments i.e. Electronics, Mechanical and C & I.

1. Recruitment of Junior Engineer Grade-II (Electornics):
No. of posts: Only 90 posts are available.
Age limit: Maximum age limit is 28 years as on 1 Janaury 2011.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess full time Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in relevant field from a recognized indian university with atleast 65% marks in aggregate.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

2. Recruitment of Junior Engineer Grade-II (Mechanical):
No. of posts: Only 216 posts are available.
Age limit: Maximum age limit is 28 years as on 1 Janaury 2011.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess full time Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in relevant field from a recognized indian university with atleast 65% marks in aggregate.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

3. Recruitment of Junior Engineer Grade-II (C&I):
No. of posts: Only 29 posts are available.
Age limit: Maximum age limit is 28 years as on 1 Janaury 2011.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess full time Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in relevant field from a recognized indian university with atleast 65% marks in aggregate.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

4. Recruitment of Junior Pharmacist Grade-II:
No. of posts: Only 13 posts are available.
Age limit: Maximum age limit is 35 years as on 1 Janaury 2011.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess full time Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in relevant field from a recognized indian university with atleast 65% marks in aggregate.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2600.

5. Recruitment of Assistant cum Junior Hindi Translator:
No. of posts: Only 2 posts are available.
Age limit: Maximum age limit is 30 years as on 1 Janaury 2011.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess full time Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in relevant field from a recognized indian university with atleast 65% marks in aggregate.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2650.

Application Fee:

candidates belonging to General and OBC categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 300 for applying for the post of Junior Engineer. However, SC/ST candidates are exempted from the payment of application fees. The application fee must be submitted through a Demand Draft only. No application fee is need to be submitted for the post of Junior Pharmacist and Assistant cum Junior Hindi Translator.

Selection Process:

Selection of candidates on any of the above specified post will be made only through the means of a written test. The written test will be held on 10 July 2011 and only eligible candidates will be allowed to take part in it.

How to apply: Only online application should be made by the interested as well as eligible candidates. The online application must be made only at DVC website on or before 4 June 2011. Candidates should takeout the printout of completely filled in application form and send it alongwith the requisite application fee to the following address on or before 13 June 2011.
