The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) came into existence on 26th September, 1977. The SSC consist of a Chairman, two Members and a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations. The main functions of Staff Selection Commission are to make recruitment to various Group “C” and Group “B” posts in different Ministries/Departments of the Govt. of India and in Subordinate Offices.

Staff Selection Commission invites application from eligible candidates for the post of Junior Mechanic Engineer in Central Water Commission (CWC).

Pay Scale – Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200

Eligibility:

Age criteria – The maximum age limit is 32 yrs.

Qualification and experience – The candidate must have Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute.

Application Fee:

Rs. 100. No fees for women candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PH and ex-servicemen. The candidates sending application through post must pay the fees by ‘Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)’ available at the counter of all Departmental post Offices. The candidates sending on-line application must pay the fee through State Bank of India (SBI) challan or using on-line payment facility of SBI.
