K.J. Somaiya College of Physiotherapy, Mumbai
K.J. Somaiya College of Physiotherapy was established by the Somaiya Trust and the college is functioning from the campus of the K.J. Somaiya Medical College & Hospital. The college presently offers Bachelor’s degree course in Physiotherapy with affiliation from the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences located in Nashik. The college is offering physiotherapy education with approval from the Indian Association of Physiotherapists.
Course details:
As mentioned earlier, K.J. Somaiya College of Physiotherapy offers Bachelor of Physiotherapy course, whose duration is four-and-half years with an internship period of six months. The college begins the academic session every year from the month of August and it is approved with an intake capacity of 30 students per year for this course. The institute is also planning to introduce Master’s degree course in Physiotherapy.
Eligibility requirement & Admission Procedure:
Admission to the Bachelor of Physiotherapy course offered by K.J. Somaiya College of Physiotherapy is done based on AMUPMDC-CET score. To apply to this course, candidates must have completed their higher secondary examination with not less than 50% of marks in Physics, Chemistry and biology subjects.
How to apply to the course:
K.J. Somaiya College of Physiotherapy normally invites application from desirous and eligible candidates for taking admission to the B.P. Th course. Admission in prescribed format that can be obtained from the premises of the college should be submitted to the same office with DD for an amount of Rs.300 drawn in favor of K.J. Somaiya College of Physiotherapy within the stipulated date announced by the college.

K.J. Somaiya College of Physiotherapy has a collection of nearly 200 books pertaining to physiotherapy and the students of the college are also offered with access to the digital library of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences.
