Kurukshetra University was established in the year 1956 under the Government of India. The university is situated in Haryana, India. Sir Chandeshwar Prasad Narayan Singh, who was a great Sanskrit scholar, was the first one who dreamt about establishing a university for promoting Indian Culture and traditions. The university has an urban campus which is spreaded in an area of over 400 acres. The first ever department of the university was Department of Sanskrit and it was inaugurated by Dr. Rajendra Prasad, who was the first president of India.

1. Recruitment of Librarian:

Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Library Science or Information Science or Documentation with atleast 55% marks in aggregate. Candidates must also posses one year specialization in an area of Information Technology or Archives and manuscript keeping.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10000.

2. Recruitment of Assistant Librarians:
No. of posts: Only 5 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Library Science or Information Science or Documentation Science with atleast 555 marks in aggregate. Candidates should have a consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6000.

3. Recruitment of Chief Security Officer:
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should be a retired defence officer with rank not below than Major. Candidates should also have a good knowledge of Hindi Language.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6000.

4. Recruitment of Medical Officers:
No. of posts: Only 3 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: MBBS degree or an equivalent degree from any recognized university. Candidates possessing Post Graduate degree or Diploma in Medicine will get preference over others.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 25000 per month.

5. Recruitment of Producer:
No. of posts: Only 2 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: B.Tech in Computer Engineering or Science or MCa or Post Graduate degree in Mass Communication or Journalism or Electronic Media. Candidates should have atleast one years of experience in designing or handling of web.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

Rs. 500 is the amount of application fee that is need to be submitted by the candidates belonging to General and OBC categories. SC/ST candidates are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 125.
