University of Kalyani is situated at West Bengal and it was established in the year 1960 with 400 acres campus in Kalyani town. Since the university is situated in a rural setting it meets mostly to the educational needs of students in backward and rural areas. But, since the university is situated just 50 km from Kolkata the capital city of West Bengal, it is suitable for the cafeteria approach to collegiate education.
