Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University came into existence in the year 1975 and it is a public university located in the city of Faizabad in Uttar Pradesh in India. The university was given this name in honor of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia, who was a freedom fighter and an epic socio-economic ideologue. The university began its operations with four departments namely physics & electronics, mathematics & statistics, rural economics and history culture & archaeology.
