There are 26 agricultural universities in India and one such university dedicated to agricultural education in India is Rajendra Agricultural University. The university is located in the state of Bihar in Samastipur District. The university came into existence in the year 1970 as a public university. The university was actually established as the Imperial Agricultural Research Institute in the year1903 and after a major earthquake in the state of Bihar this institution was shifted to its present name in Pusa and was later given the status of Rajendra Agricultural University. The university is offering education under five different faculties namely humanities & home science, basic sciences, agricultural engineering, veterinary & animal sciences and agriculture. Rajendra Agricultural University is offering education through seven of its constituent colleges and the list of courses offered by the university under different faculties is given below:
