The diploma in computer animation briefly includes using file browser, drawing and designingphotoshop basics, layers and effects, cropping,correcting, retouching, repairing, enhancing, creating a mask and channels, Slicing and linking an image, brushes and palette, composite images, pen tool techniques, creating special effects, saving images for the web and creating a web gallery, two - color printing, filters, plug-ins and add-ons etc.,

Question paper pattern

It consists of 10 questions out of which five have to be answered. Each question carries 20 marks. All are subjective type. Hence, presentation plays a key role here.

Areas of key importance

Majority of the questions will be asked on the filters, brushes, paths, editing tools. Layers and editing also have its place among the top hits. Color effects should not be missed though many others are also included. Starting from bringing the file into the main window, till publishing it to web gallery everything should be touched upon.

Time allotted and Maximum marks

The time allotted is 3 hours and the maximum marks are 100.

Points to be kept in mind

Greater the practice, fewer is the chance of going wrong. You needn’t study these things much but practice all the editing and applying artistic effects on the custom pictures. Wherever required, represent the stuff in the form of pictures.You don’t just take photos. You create them.
