Master of Arts in Education is commonly known as M.A Edu., which is actually a post graduate course. Its duration is 2 years with 4 semesters. There will be changes regarding the duration, semester system, course plan etc. according to the institutions. This course is available in both modes, which are regular and Correspondence. This degree should be completed by a student in a maximum of 5 years and minimum of 2 years, and this duration may vary.

This is actually a theoretical course which mainly focuses on basic information of theory and practice. This course contains a series of very basic subjects which is designed in such a way so as to cover all the basic areas of education and number of very advanced courses as different specialization. M.Ed. is not similar to M.A Education, even though the terminology is alike, both courses are different and each have their own requisites but the contents are almost alike.

How to fill in MS Entrance Application form?

The form should be filled with care. Application should be filled by referring the handbook received. Photographs to be submitted should have been taken recently. MA Education Entrance Exam Pattern

M.A Education entrance exam is having a duration of 1 ½ hours. The exam is of objective type. Four alternatives will be there for every question. It is better to attempt all questions as there is no negative marking. The topics included in the exam are educational psychology, school management, Teaching process etc.

MA Education course curriculum

M.A Education course carries 1900 marks, 1000 marks for 1st part and 900 marks for 2nd part.

1st part (semester 1 and 2)

There are 5 papers in all, in which 3 papers will be basics and common for all students and the other 2 papers will be selected from the specialization papers. The 2 specializations opted in 1st semester will be continued in all the semesters.

2nd part (semester 3 and 4)

There are 5 appears in all, in which 3 papers will be basics and common for all the students and the other 2 papers will be selected from the specialization.

MA Education Course Evaluation

It is 20% from continuous internal assessment and 80% from terminal assessment. 20% from the continuous internal assessment includes:

  • Written Assignment- 50
  • Snap Tests- 15
  • Participation in Discussions- 10
  • Term Papers- 15
  • Attendance- 10

Total: 100 Reduced To 20.
