MAT Exam Pattern
The MAT entrance exam is carried out as to select qualified and eligible candidate in to the MBA and similar management programs all over the country. The MAT exam is carried out on a national level and the controlling authority is the All India Management Association (AIMA). The MAT exam is held 4 times in a year. The exam will be held separately in the month of February, May, September and December. The maximum number of B-Schools will be appearing in the December and February MAT exam.
The MAT score is taken by the top B-Schools, deemed university and other AICTE recognized universities other than IIM’s. The validity of the MAT score is for one year. As to be eligible for the MAT entrance exam candidates need to be a graduate. Final year students are also eligible to appear in the exam. There is no limit with regard to the number of times a candidate can appear in the MAT exam.
Syllabus for MAT Exam
The MAT exam is held by the All India Management Association’s Testing Service for students so as to make them qualify to join in the MBA course or equivalent PG management courses. The MAT exam has mainly five different parts. The exam is indented to test candidates Language Comprehension capability and Arithmetic skills along with Data Analysis and general know how. The MAT exams also have syllabus from Reasoning along with India and the International Environment Scenario.
Question Pattern of MAT Exam
Ever year there will be slight variations in the MAT exam pattern. In fact there is no particular format for the test. The MAT exam will be an objective type exam. The number of questions in the MAT exam is 200. Each candidate will have to answer the entire question as per the knowledge within 150 minutes. For each correct answer a candidate can score 1 mark. If the answer marked is wrong then there will be minus marking, which will be 1/4th of the actual mark of the question. In the MAT exam, each section including Reading Comprehension, DI, Quantitative, Reasoning, and Common Awareness will have 40 questions each.
