Admission to Master of Commerce programme is carried out on the basis of score obtained by the candidates in the entrance test conducted by the University. A Bachelor’s degree in commerce with a minimum of 40 % marks in aggregate is the basic educational qualification for this course. Candidates can expect graduation level questions in the entrance examination. There will be 100 objective type questions which should be completed within 90 minutes.

Eligibility Criterion

Candidates who have completed graduation in Commerce stream from a recognized university are eligible to apply for Post Graduation programme in Osmania University. They are required to secure a minimum of 40 % marks in qualifying examination. There is no age restriction for this course. Final year candidates who are awaiting their results are also eligible to apply.

Application Procedure

Candidates who seek admission to M.Com courses in Osmania University are required to send application in the prescribed format. Candidates can obtain the application form and information brochure from the regional centers of the University. Apart from this, candidates can download the application form from the official website of the University. Candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs. 320/-. Fee can be paid by taking a demand draft from any nationalized bank in favor of “The Director, Directorate of Admissions, Osmania University” payable at Hyderabad.

Candidates have the option to choose their exam centers while filling up the application form. They will have to affix a passport size photograph in the application form. Fully filled in application form along with supporting documents and fee payment details should be sent to Osmania University Campus within the stipulated time. Candidates will have to pay fine up to Rs. 500/- for late applications.

Selection Procedure

The University conducts its own entrance examination for the admission process. Eligible candidates will be sent call letters for the entrance examination. The entrance test will have objective type multiple choice questions. There will be a total of 100 questions. Maximum time allotted for the entrance exam is 90 minutes. Candidates can expect questions in degree level. Questions will be asked from the following topics.

Candidates are advised to go through the text books prescribed for B.Com syllabus so as to score good marks. Admission to the course is carried out on the basis of composite scores obtained by the candidate in the qualifying exam as well as in entrance test.
