MITCON Institute of Management conducts an admission process for its Post Graduate Diploma in Management(PGDM) programmes. MITCON Institute of Management is located in Pune. It has a decent infrastructure for management education. All its PGDM programmes are approved by All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE). MITCON Institute of Management provides PGDM in the disciplines of Business Administration, Biotechnology Management, Agribusiness management and Pharmacy Management.

Candidates are shortlisted for PGDM programmes of MITCON Institute of Management on the basis of their CAT / MAT / ATMA / XAT / MH-CET / MANAGE scores.  Candidates have to also apply separately for admission in MITCON. The candidates who are shortlisted on the basis of their scores in these exams have to appear in a further selection process consisting of a Group Discussion and Personal Interview after which the final selections are made.

Courses Available and Eligibility Criteria:

PGDM (Business Administration)-60 seats: A candidate should have a bachelor’s degree  or equivalent from a recognised institute with atleast 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in Graduation. Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply.

PGDM (Biotechnology Management)-60 seats: A candidate should have B.Sc in Microbiology, Biotechnology & Biochemistry & Life Sciences or equivalent from a recognised institute with atleast 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in Graduation. Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply.

PGDM (Agribusiness Management)-60 seats: A candidate should have B.Sc in Agriculture, B.Tech (Agri) or equivalent from a recognised institute with atleast 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in Graduation. Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply.

PGDM (Pharmacy Management)-60 seats: A candidate should have B. Pharm., B.Sc in  Life Sciences & B.Sc in chemistry or equivalent from a recognised institute with atleast 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in Graduation. Candidates in their final year of graduation can also apply.

Availability of Application forms:

The forms along with the prospectus will be available from MITCON campus. The form can also be obtained by post from there  by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form.

• Last date of submitting completed application form: March End, 2010

Selection process:

Candidates are shortlisted for PGDM programmes of MITCON on the basis of their CAT / MAT / ATMA / XAT / MH-CET / MANAGE scores. The shortlisted candidates are then called for further selection process consisting of a Group Discussion and Personal Interview.  Final selection is based on candidate’s performance in Entrance exam(100 marks), Personal Interview(25 marks), Group Discussion(45 marks), Past Academic Record(20 marks) and Essay Writing(10 marks).
