National Institute of Immunology 2011 Ph.D
National Institute of Immunology offers admission to candidates who are interested in undertaking the course of PhD in different subjects. The Institute has an established co-operation with the Department of Bio-Technology, under the Government of India. The Institute aims at several advanced based researches within the field of Immunology. NII has been known for its advanced form of infrastructural facilities coupled with a highly qualified team of faculty. Several PH. D programs running in the Institute are all affiliated to Jawahar Lal Nehru University, New Delhi.
Candidates who are eager to earn admission in these PH.D programs have to appear for an entrance test. Those of the candidates who are successful enough to crack the entrance test are called for a personal interview. The PH. D programs offered by the Institute are available in most of the important discipline. There are four centers in which the Entrance Test are carried, which is namely: Kolkata, Delhi, Pune and Bengaluru.

Eligibility criteria:
A candidate should have one of the following qualifications: M.Sc in any branch of science/ M.Tech./ M.B.B.S./ M.V.Sc./ M.Pharma. Also the candidate should have got a minimum aggregate of 60% in class 12th examinations. Those in their final year of qualifying exam can also apply.
How to Apply:
Candidates can apply online through the website www.nii.res.in. They can also send a hand written form on an A4 size paper in the prescribed format according to the notification.
Important dates (Tentative):
Last date of submission of Forms: Last week of December, 2010
Date of Entrance Test: Second week of February, 2011
Declaration of Results: Last week of February, 2011
Interviews: First Week of June, 2011
Selection Procedure:
Candidates have to first give a written test. The written test will be a general aptitude test meant to test the comprehending, analyzing and reasoning abilities of the candidate. Those who clear the written test are called for a two stage interview. Those who clear the first stage are called for second round after which the final selections are made.
