National Institute of Technology, Uttarakhand
NIT, Uttarakhand will start functioning temporarily at NIT, kurukshetra in Haryana as state government has not yet finalised the temporary campus for NIT, Uttarakhand .NIT, Uttarakhand will be mentored by NIT, Kurukshetra for at least two or three years until NIT, Uttarakhand campus is constructed and then it will function on their own. NIT, Uttarakhand is being established with the main aim of providing high quality and technical education in various disciplines and produce skilled engineers of highest quality who will be able to contribute towards the development of India and meet the challenges of the industrial needs of the country.
Infrastructure:
For the construction of NIT, Uttarakhand campus, government has decided to give an amount of 300 crore for its infrastructurei.It has been estimated that NIT, Uttarakhand students will be provided with excellent facilities in the NIT, Kurukshetra campus like well-stocked library, hostel facilities, computer centre, and transport facilities are also available.
Courses offered:
It has been estimated that NIT, Uttarakhand students will be provided with undergraduate level courses in the initial years.
Undergraduate courses:
• Electronics and communication engineering
• Computer science and engineering
• Electrical and electronics engineering
Admission procedure:
Candidate must have cleared his School leaving exam with Maths, Chemistry and physics from a standard or well recognised university or board with a minimum of 60 per cent of marks. But that is not all, you need to clear the All India Engineering Entrance Exam and on the basis of your AIEEE rank, you will get admission to this institute. It is estimated that NIT, Uttarakhand will allow the intake of 30 seats in each branch in the initial years. Out of which, 50% of the seats are reserved for the students of the state and the rest 50% seats are reserved for the students across the country.
Placements:
Institute will provide job opportunities to the students in best of the organizations before the completion of their graduates.
