Netaji Subhash Engineering College, Panchpota, Garia, Kolkata
The Netaji Subhas Engineering College (NSEC) was set up in 1998 under the affiliation of WBUT and the approval of AICTE. The institute is located in Panchpota, Garia which is easily connected with main city through a proper grid of roads and railways. Some of the major disciplines of the college have been given the accreditation by NBA (National Board of Accreditation) which include Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering and computer science and Engineering in the year 2005 and Information Technology in 2008. The college also receives educational aids from World Bank under TEQUIP.

The biggest software houses are the leading job providers for the college such as CTS, TCS, IBM, Mahindra Satyam and WIPRO. Amon the core companies for EE and ECE names like Reliance, Aztech Electronics and government organizations such as WBSEB and CESC tekes up a large chunk during campus interviews.
Infrastructure
The college has state of the art infrastructure which includes a well furnished huge library, well equipped and hi tech laboratories, a computer centre, conference room and WiFi connectivity inside the premises everywhere. Apart from having great common and sports room, separate hostel facilities for both the genders are provided.
Admission Procedure
The seats are allocated during the counseling held by the Central Selection Committee on the basis of the rank obtained in AIEEE or WBJEEE. The entrance in MCA depends on the JECA score and that in the M. Tech depends on the GATE score.
Eligibility criteria
B.Tech program
1. 10+2 with a combination of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects.
2. The score must be at least 60% in the qualifying examination.
M. Tech program
1. B.Tech or MSc in the particular or related fields.
2. Must have a valid GATE score.
M.C.A program
1. Must have completed graduation in any stream with Math as a subject for at least a year.
