Job Profile:
Steel Authority of India Limited is looking forward to recruit eligible candidates on the following non executive post of Operator cum Technician Trainee. Selected candidates will have to serve in the Bokaro Steel Plant of Steel Authority of India Limited.
Eligibility:
The minimum age limit set for the post is 18 years as on 1 July 2011.
The maximum age limit set for the post is 28 years as on 1 July 2011.
Upper age limit for the reserved categories candidates is relaxable by few years as per the rules of Government of India.
Physical Standards:
Height of candidates should be 5″1′ and weight should be 45 kgs.
Chest of candidates should be 30 inches (unexpanded), 32″ expanded.
Also the eyesight of candidates should be good as well.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have done Three years full time Diploma in Engineering from a recognized institute of Government of India. Candidates, who have done Polytehcnic from a recognized institute are also eligible to apply for the post. Candidates should have done Diploma or Polytechnic in the following disciplines: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Metallurgy Engineering and Electronics Engineering.

Vacancies in Mechanical Engineering field: 23 posts are available.
Vacancies in Electrical Engineering field: 33 posts are available.
Vacancies in Metallurgy Engineering field: 92 posts are available.
Vacancies in Electronics Engineering field: 9 posts are available.
Pay Scale: Candidates will be given the consolidated mount of Rs. 8250 per month during 1st year, Rs. 9350 during the IInd year of training. On successfull completion of their training period, candidates will be given the consolidated salary of Rs. 9160-13150 per month.
Application Fee:
Candidates should send a non refundable crossed demand draft of Rs. 200 in accordance with their completed application form. SC/ST/PH/Local Displaced Persons & BSL Departmental candidates are exempeted from the payment of this application fee. The demand draft should be made in favour of SAIL- Bokaro Steel Plant, payable at Bokaro Steel City.
