Structure and Syllabus for Pearl BA FD Entrance Exam

The Entrance exam has a multi stage pattern. The candidates are to qualify in each stage to gain an admission based on their performance. The question paper will have subjective and objective questions. The most significant stages of the exam are the following:

The General Proficiency Test – Tests and evaluates the candidate’s skill in

• Vocabulary
• Expression

The Design Aptitude Test – Tests and evaluates the candidate’s skill in

• Perception
• Illustration
• Drawing Visualization
• Color
• Sketching

Situation Test – This test will estimate the state of mind and attitude of candidates to make good judgments in random problematic situations which they are called for to analyze and find solutions.

Interview – The candidates will have to introduce themselves, speak about their hobbies and aspirations and their ambitions.

The test stages are all general. A specific syllabus is not there. But there are reference materials that can get the candidates through.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates are to be qualified with an average of 50% in the Higher Secondary or 10+2 equivalent Board exams of recognized Boards. Candidates about to attend such exams can also make use of the opportunity. The second year appearing candidates can also take the examination.

How to Apply?

The candidates can either go online to apply or buy forms from a designated Axis bank branches or zonal centers of the PAF. To obtain the form by post, the total fee of the form (Rs 1000/-) and postal charge of Rs 50/-included should be sent with a requisite letter, in the form of a DD favoring the PAF, addressed to the academy center at Delhi. Online forms and prospectus will be available in the Academy’s official website. The candidates are to fill it up, check and rectify errors if any and take printouts, one for safekeeping and the other to be sent to the Academy accompanied with the DD of the fee.

How to fill the Form?

The forms can be filled online or offline. While filling it up online, the candidate should make sure that he/she has entered the correct textual entries as in the Higher Secondary and 10th standard certificate and there haven’t been any mistakes or unacceptable entries in the form. No entry field should be left blank. Take print outs only after the form is made sure to be completed. The error free form and particular with the demand draft accompaniment should be sent to the address given later in this page before the last date of submission. Registered or Speed post is recommended. Make good use of the prospectus if there are doubts. Check the form one more time to be absolutely sure that everything’s all right before mailing it.
