Policeman - India Reserve Battalion
India Reserve Battalion shortly called as IRB is the very first battalion to be formed in the nation in the year 2005. The BST and CRPF offers training to the personnel of India Reserve Battalion, while some of the training are offered by the Assam Rifles. The main aim of IRB is to maintain prosperity and peace in the state of Jharkhand in such a way that people of Jharkhand live a life of orderliness, safety and security.
Recruitment by IRB, Jharkhand:
IRB, Jharkhand has published advertisement for recruitment of policemen and applications are called from Indian male candidates for this position. Here are the details regarding the notification issued by the Indian Reserve Battalion for this purpose:
Name of the position: Policeman
Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 423, which is divided as follows under various categories:
• IRB 1 – 68
• IRB 2 – 88
• IRB 3 – 106
• IRB 4 – 20
• IRB 5 - 141

Eligibility Requirement:
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed their matriculation examination from a recognized board.
Physical requirements: The minimum height requirement is 165 cms and chest should be minimum 81 cms.
Age: The minimum age requirement is 18 years and maximum age requirement is 27 years as on the 1st of August 2011.
Selection Procedure:
Selection of candidates for the policeman position will be through two-tier process being written examination and physical efficiency test.
