Prathama Bank was established in 1975 and it is owned and operated by the Government of India.  It has its head quarters located at Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh. Now, it has over 200 branches located in various places of Uttar Pradesh. Prathama Bank, which occupies the first place among the Regional Banks in the country conducts the recruitment for the Officer Middle Management Grade and Officer Junior Management Grade.

Structure of Prathama Bank Exams

Officer Scale II and Officer Scale III (written test)

It is a 2 hour and 30 minutes test with questions from each of the following five sections.

  • Reasoning Test- 50 questions, each carrying 1 mark
  • Quantitative Aptitude-50 questions, each carrying 1 mark
  • Financial Awareness- 50 questions, each carrying 1 mark
  • General English- 50 questions, each carrying 1 mark
  • General Hindi- 50 questions, each carrying 1 mark

For Officer Scale I and Office Assistant (written test)

It is a 2 hour and 30 minutes test with questions from each of the following five sections.

  • Reasoning Test- 50 questions, each carrying 1 mark
  • Quantitative Aptitude-50 questions, each carrying 1 mark
  • Financial Awareness- 50 questions, each carrying 1 mark

Eligibility Criteria

Officer Middle Management Grade (Scale-III) (Group A)

  • Degree of Electronics & Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology / Banking & Finance or Chartered Accountant from a recognized university
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience as an Officer in any Bank or Financial Institutions in the respective field
  • Candidates should be above the age of 21 years and below the age of 40 years

Officer Middle Management Grade (Scale-II) (Group A)

  • Degree of Electronics & Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology / Agriculture / Horticulture / Dairy / Animal Husbandry / Forestry / Veterinary Science / Agricultural Engineering / Pisciculture / Hindi from a recognized university
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in the relevant field
  • Candidates should be above the age of 21 years and below the age of 32 years

Officer Junior Management Grade (Scale-I) (Group A)

  • Bachelor degree in any discipline or its equivalent from a recognized University
  • Good command Hindi & English
  • Good knowledge in Computer applications
  • Candidates should be above the age of 18 years and below the age of 28 years

Office Assistant (Multipurpose) (Group B)

  • Bachelor degree in any discipline or its equivalent from a recognized University
  • Good command over Hindi & English
  • Good knowledge in Computer applications
  • Candidates should be above the age of 18 years and below the age of 28 years

How to Apply?

The candidates are advised to apply Online through the Official site of Prathama bank from the last week of July till the first week of August. The applications made through any other modes will be rejected. The aspirants those who wish to apply have to make a payment of Rs 400/- as application fees. The payment has to be made along with the Challan at any one of the Syndicate branches before the second week of August. After remitting the  amount, login in to the Prathama Bank website and fill the application carefully.
