Mizoram University was established in the year 2001 as a Central University. The university was established under the Mizoram University Act, 2000 of the Parliament Of India. The university is located at Aizawl, Mizoram. Governor of Mizoram is the present Chancellor of the university. Professor Lalthanluanga is the present Vice Chancellor of the university. The university has an academic staff of total 232 personnels. The university provides both undergraduate as well as post graduate courses to its students. 1. Recruitment of Professor:

Educational Qualification: Candidates should be an eminent scholar with Ph.D. degree in the concerned discipline. Minimum 10 years of experience in the field of teaching or research, is also need to be possessed by the candidates for applying for this post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10000.

2. Recruitment of Associate Professor:
No. of posts: Only 25 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates are required to have Ph.D. degree in the concerned discipline with minimum 55% marks in aggregate at Master’s degree level. And also minimum 8 yeasr of teaching or research experience is required for this post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 9000.

3. Recruitment of Assistant Professor:
No. of posts: Only 21 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Candidates are need to have a good academic record with minimum 55% marks in aggregate at Master’s degree level in the concerned discipline. Besides this, candidates should also have cleared the National Eligibility Test conducted by the UGC, CSIR.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6000.

Application Fee:

An application fee of Rs. 500 is need to be submitted in the form of a Bank Draft for applying for any of the above specified faculty position. Rs. 500 is the amount of application fee for General and OBC candidates. However, no fee is to be paid by SC/ST/PH candidates. The bank draft should be drawn in favour of Registrar, Mizoram University on State Bank of India, Aizawl Main branch.
