The Central Building Research Institute was established in the year 1947 at Roorkee by the Government of India. The research institute is responsible for the generation and promotion of science and technology in the service of India. The another major function of the institute is to provide economical solutions to the problems of materials, rural and urban housing, energy conservation, fire hazards etc. one of the another major objective of the institute is to carry out applied and basic research in all areas of building science.

Job Profile:

Central Building Research Institute invites applications from Indian Nationals for recruiting them on the posts of Project Assistant. The main work to be performed by the selected candidates is to assist in the funded projects as well as network projects undertaken by the institute.

Project Name: Determination of temperature profile and energy load on computer model for three
composite buildings and validation of thermal properties (K.R & U – values) of BASF products.

1. Recruitment of Project Assistant (Level-1):
Age Limit: Upper age limit is 25 years.
Educational Qualification: B.Sc. in any stream with atleast 50% marks in aggregate.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 8000 per month.

2. Recruitment of Project Assistant (Level-2):
Age Limit: Upper age limit is 28 years.
Educational Qualification: B.E. or MCA in Computer Science with atleast 55% marks in aggregate.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 10000 per month.

Project Name: Third Party Quality Assurance of Civil Construction Work of Various Building at
Dehradoon & Rishikesh.

3. Recruitment of Project Assistant (Level-2):
Age Limit: Upper age limit is 28 years.
Educational Qualification: B.Tech in Civil Engineering with atleast 55% marks in aggregate.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 12000 per month.

Project Name: Engineering of Structure Against Natural and other Disaster.

4. Recruitment of Project Assistant (Level-1/2/3):
Age Limit: Upper age limit is 28 or 30 years.
Educational Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 7000/10000/12000 per month.

Project Name: Dissemination, Training and Demonstration of appropriate Rural Housing
Technologies.

5. Recruitment of Project Assistant (Level-2/3):
Age Limit: Upper age limit is 28 or 30 years.
Educational Qualification: B.E. or B.Tech in Civil Engineering with atleast 60% marks in aggregate.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 10000/12000 per month.

6. Recruitment of Project Assistant (Level-2/3):
Age Limit: Upper age limit is 28 or 30 years.
Educational Qualification: Degree in Mass Communication or Journalism with atleast 60% marks in aggregate.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 10000/12000 per month.

Project Name: Development of Building Components from Sponge Iron Waste.

7. Recruitment of Project Assistant (Level-1):
Age Limit: Upper age limit is 25 years.
Educational Qualification: B.Sc. with atleast 50% marks in aggregate.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 8000 per month.

Project Name: Cost Effective Value Added Thermal Insulation Tiles for Insulation Purpose.

8. Recruitment of Project Assistant (Level-2):
Age Limit: Upper age limit is 28 years.
Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemistry with atleast 55% marks in aggregate.
Pay Scale: Consolidated salary of Rs. 12000 per month.

Selection Process:

Interested candidates will have to appear in a Walk-In-Interview with the selection committee. The Walk-In-Interview will be held at CBRI, Roorkee.
