Railway recruitment board is recruiting candidates in the post of goods guard in the various zones of railway services. Candidates with the required qualification can apply for the post of goods guard. As this is central government job there are many other allowances for the recruited candidates. Candidates already working in the railway department can also apply for this job.

Structure of RNTC Goods Guard Exam

The exam will be having questions from mathematics, general knowledge, English; numerical ability and reasoning ability. All questions will be having choices. Candidate should find the write answer from the choice. All the questions in the question paper should be answered by the candidates. Candidates will not loose any marks for any wrong answers.

Mathematics: Questions to check the candidate’s skill in solving mathematical problems will be there.

General knowledge and general awareness: Questions from day today life will be asked in this part of the section.

Eligibility Criteria

• For the post of Goods Guard, the candidate must have a degree.
• Those candidates with an age between 18 years and 30 years can apply for this post.
• There is age relaxation for candidates belonging to scheduled caste, S T, O B C, ex servicemen, and P H.
• For SC / ST candidates the upper age limit is 35years and for O B C candidate’s the upper age limit is 33 years.
• Five years is the age relaxation for candidates living in Jammu & Kashmir.
• Ten years is the age relaxation for physically handicapped persons.
• For widows, divorced and judicially separated women has an upper age limit of 5 years. but is not applicable for remarried women.
• For candidates already working in railways in lower posts, has also age relaxation if they are attending this exam.
• Group c and group d staffs of railway has n upper age limit of 40 years and in the case of S C / S T , the upper age limit is 43 years.

How to Apply?

Application forms are available for applying .There will be an examination fee of Rs 60 for attending this exam. Candidate can pay this fee while buying the application form ie the candidate will be given form only after paying the fees. For scheduled caste, scheduled tribes, ex sericemen, physically handicapped person, women minorities and e b c candidates need not pay the fees. Application forms are available through post also. For this, the candidate should send a demand draft of Rs 60 from a nationalized bank in favor of,

The letter asking the application form should reach the concerned office before the closing date and the filled application form should also reach before the losing date.

How to fill the Form?

Candidates can fill the form only in two languages that is in English and in Hindi. Read carefully the employment notice. After that fill the form. Candidate should fill the form in his / her hand writing only. Candidate should ill his / her nearby railway station address along with the address of the candidate. Recently taken colour photograph should be affixed in the form.candidte should put his / her signature only in running handwriting only.

An extra photograph should be also submitted along the form. Photocopies of photographs will be not entertained. Put the thump impression in the relevant area of the form. Candidate should copy of sslc or hsc certificate, caste certificate, disability certificate, income certificate along with the form. Certificate which shows no objection from the competent authority should be also send by those candidates who are already working in the railway services in the lower posts.
