Job responsibilities: The researcher is required to use his/her knowledge of mutual fund and financial markets to promote marketing and sales within the Global Marketing Division, he /she should prepare investment and financial data with the use of quantitative theory. He/she must independently analyze and research financial reports to develop statistical analysis, graphs, and charts for use in Franklin Templeton Invts external marketing and sales materials. Validate and evaluate shareholder letters of statements and portfolio manager commentaries by using fund/industry knowledge and third party data sources.

The researcher must manage analytical & research system training and management, should serve as expert on analytical & research system, should work to automate research reports and surveys and maintain internal databases, interact frequently via phone/email with U.S. counterparts, asking questions, receiving clarifications, etc, provide feedback regarding work output of associate staff to senior staff.

Qualifications: The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree - Business Administration (Finance, Economics, and Marketing) preferred, candidates with MBA in finance or CA/ICWA, must possess proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (specifically Excel and Access)

Experience: 2-3 years job related experience, preferably in the mutual fund or financial services industry, using third party quantitative research systems such as Bloomberg, Simfund, FactSet, Lipper/LANA, Morningstar, Micropal, Zephyr, MPI Stylus and Lexis Nexis.

Pay Scale: The pay package has not been disclosed but it depends upon the interview given by a candidate and of course his qualification.
