Profile:

Ranchi Institute of Nuero Psychiatry & Allied Sciences was initially incorporated as a Lunatic Asylum in a place named Munghyr. The institute was later shifted to Patna in the year 1821 and after that the institute was again shifted to its present location Ranchi in the year 1925. The name of the instutute was also changed to Indian Mental Hospital after it shifted to Ranchi. The name of the hospital was changed again in the year 1958 to Ranchi Mansik Arogyashala after the hospital came under the State Government of Bihar. The institute got its present name in the year 1998.

Job Profile:

Higly professional as well as eligible individuals are invited to apply for the posts of Research Officers in Ranchi Institute of Neuro-Psychiatry & Allied Sciences depending on their qualification and experience in the relevant field. The appointment will be made initially for a period of one year which can be extended on yearly basis.

Eligibility:

The eligibility conditions set for the positions of Research Officer in Ranchi Institute of Neuro-Psychiatry & Allied Sciences are need to be fulfilled by the interested candidates in order to apply for the post. Only eligible candidates will be allowed to apply for the specified post. Applications made by uneligible candidates will be discarded straightaway by the institute..

Educational Qualification:

Candidates should hold the MD in Psychiatry or DPM. Candidates with educational qualification such as MBBS Ph.D. Clinical Psychology/ M.Phil Ph.D. in Psychiatric Social Work/M.phil are also eligible to apply on the specified post but they should also possess two years of working and research experience in a psychiatric setup.

Pay Scale: Candidates will be given the salary under Pay Band-II i.e. Rs. 9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

Application Fee:

A non refundable demand draft of Rs. 500 is need to be paid as application fee by all the interested candidates. The Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of Director, Ranchi Institute of Neuro-Psychiatry & Allied Sciences payable at Ranchi. This Demand Draft should be brought at the time of Walk-In-Interview.

Selection Process:

A walk-in-interview will be held on 29 January 2011 from 11 AM onwards. The final selection of the candidates will be be made on the basis of the result of this walk-in-interview. Candidates are required to prepare well so that they can give good performance at the time of Walk-In-Interview.
