The Government of Andhra Pradesh has a number of autonomous bodies under its control and one such autonomous body that is registered under the Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act 2001 is the Andhra Pradesh State Remote Sensing Applications Centre. The Centre has the Principal Secretary of the Government of Andhra Pradesh’s Planning department as its chairman. The centre is meant for application of Remote Sensing and GIS technology for inventory and management of resources.

Andhra Pradesh State Remote Sensing Applications Centre has called for online applications from eligible candidates for the position of Resource Analyst (Land use/land cover) to work in one of its projects called as Space Based Information Support and Decentralized Planning and here are the details regarding the notification issued in this respect.

Name of the Vacancy: Resource Analyst (Land Use/Land Cover)

Number of Vacancies: 120

Terms of employment: Appointment will be purely on contract basis and the position is purely temporary in nature.

Terms of Reference:

Terms of reference for the position of Resource Analyst (Land use and land cover) would be post-field/pre-field use of land/land cover and mapping with the help of on-screen digitization techniques, attribute data incorporation, limited field checks, ground truth data collection and other related tasks.

Educational Qualification and experience:

To apply for the position of Resource Analyst (Land Use/Land Cover), candidates must be PG degree holders in geo-informatics/remote sensing/earth sciences/forestry/environmental sciences/geography with at least one year of experience in land covers/land use mapping with the help of RS & GIS Techniques.
