Sant Hirdaram Girls’ College was established in the year 2006 by Shaheed Hemu Kalani Educational Society and the college is affiliated to Barkatullah University. Even though, the college is just four years old, its profile is encouraging and stands as a proof of the efforts that have displayed in social recognition achieved and improved performance of the students. The college is offering, under graduation and post-graduation courses through four of its faculties namely education, home science, commerce and science.

Admission procedure:

The college follows the norms laid by the Barkattulah University/NCTE/State government for admitting students to different courses. Selection is made on the basis of the marks obtained by the student in the higher secondary examination. Every year, in the total number of seats, 5% of the seats are reserved for NRI students and 10% for management quota and this reservation can be inter-changed at the discretion of the society. In the admission process, special preference is given for students with outstanding sports records.

Infrastructure:

The college has four different blocks each for professional, commerce, science courses and the fourth is library and administrative block. The college has a world-class infrastructure with illuminated, well-furnished and ventilated classrooms and high quality laboratories. In addition to facilities for educational needs, sports facilities for playing indoor games like table tennis, carom and chess is also available in the campus.
