Structure of Sardar Patel University Ph.D in English Entrance Exam

The Ph.D in English entrance test paper comprises of four sections. The total marks of the entrance test will be 60. The first section will consists of 10 multiple choice questions in general knowledge, research aptitude, etc. The second section will have 15 multiple choice questions in History of English Language and Literature. The third section comprises of short answer type questions. There will be 8 questions in this section out of which the candidate has to answer only 5. The maximum word limit for answers in this section is 40. The last section will be long answer question to be written in 300 words. There will four questions in this section out of which only one is to be answered.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates completing M.A in English from a recognized University are eligible to appear for Sardar Patel University Ph.D in English Entrance Exam. The minimum percentage required is 50% marks. The candidates should also obtain a minimum of 30 out of 60 marks in the entrance exam to qualify the Ph.D in English Entrance Exam.

How to Apply?

The application form for Sardar Patel University Ph.D in English Entrance Exam will be available in the official website of the University. The candidate should submit completed application form to room number 118 of the University. The candidate should also make a payment of Rs. 650/- cash along with the completed application form.

How to fill the Form?

The candidate should select the appropriate course being applied.  A recent photograph should be affixed in space provided. The name of the candidate, father’s name should be entered in capital letters. The candidate should select the appropriate category. The date of birth entered should match with that in the original documents. The candidate should enter the approximate annual income in the space provided.
