Institute of Minerals & Materials Technology was initially known as Regional Research Laboratory, Bhubaneshwar. The institute was set up as a premier establishment of the council of Scientific & Industrial Research. The institute came into existence in the year 1864 in the state of Orissa. The institute is well known for providing R&D supports for process and product development. The major emphasis of the institute is towards the conservation and sustainable utilization of natural resources. Also, the institute has developed S7T capabilities in a wide range of areas.

Eligibility:
Maximum age limit set for the post of Scientist Grade IV (4) is 45 years while 35 years is the maximum age set for the post of Scientist Grade IV(2).
Educational Qualification:
Interested candidates should have completed their Ph.D. degree in any discipline from any recognised university. Candidates having Post Graduation degree can also apply for the posts but preference will be given to the canddiates with Ph.D. degree.

Scientist Grade-IV (4): Only 2 posts are available.
Scientist Grade-IV (2): Only 8 posts are available.
Pay Scale:
Scientist Grade-IV (4): Rs. 37400-67000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 8700.
Scientist Grade-IV (2): Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.
Application Fee:
Candidates should pay the application fee in the form of a crossed demand draft or IPO. The Demand Draft is to be made in favour of Director, Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology and its should be payable at STate Bank of India, RRL Campus Branch (Branch Code-7499), Bhubaneshwar. Rs. 100 is application fee for General candidates while other category candidates are extempted from this fee.
Selection Process:
The selection process is comprises of a interview test only that will be held on a specified date at prescribed address. However, only eligible candidates will be called by Institute of Minerals & Materials Technology for attending this interview test.
How to apply: Candidates should send the application in prescribed format only. And the application must reach to the prescribed address before 4 January 2011. The envelope containing application form and other documents must be superscribed as “Application for the post of _______________, Post Code No. _____, Advt. No. _____”.
