Andhra Bank recruits probationary clerks on the basis of group discussion and personal interview. Candidates who have cleared the Common Written Examination for clerical cadre conducted by IBPS are eligible to apply for this post. Applications should be sent online from the official website of the bank. Application fee is Rs.150/-.
Selection Procedure for Clerical Post in Andhra Bank

Recruitment to the post of probationary clerks in Andhra Bank is carried out on the basis of scores obtained in Common Written Examination conducted by Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. Eligible candidates will be short listed for group discussion and final interview as per their rankings in the merit list published by the bank and the number of vacancies.

Candidates will be given a general topic related to the current affairs prevailing in the country in group discussion. Candidates’ communication skill as well as behavioral approach will be evaluated in group discussion. Those who have secured the minimum qualifying marks will be short listed for personal interview. Candidates can expect questions from academic backgrounds, banking terminologies and questions from financial subjects. In addition to this, candidates’ proficiency in local language (ability to read/ write/ speak) will be evaluated at the time of interview. Maximum marks allotted for personal interview is 35. Those who are belonging to general category require a minimum of 40% marks in interview so as to qualify. Candidates belonging to Scheduled tribe, Scheduled tribe, other backward classes and those who are physically challenged can seek relaxation up to 5% marks so as to be eligible.

Application Procedure for Clerical Post in Andhra Bank

Eligible and desirous candidates are required to apply online from the official website of the bank. Application fee including intimation charges and postage charge for general category as well as candidates belonging to other backward class is Rs.150/-. Reserved category candidates are required to pay Rs.50/- only as application fee. Fee payment can be done through two ways.

  • Through CBS Challan
  • Through NEFT

Those who wish to make payment through CBS challan are required to download the fee payment receipt from the official portal of the organization. Payment can be made in any branches of Andhra Bank across the country. Other can make payment by using national electronic fund transfer at any other bank.
Candidates who have remitted the application fee will have to provide the details of fee payment and details regarding IBPS CWE score card in the online application form. Those who have successfully submitted the application form will receive a confirmation message by email.
