Company profile: PPSC was established under the article 315 of the constitution of India. The responsibilities of the commission are to recruit the officers at various posts and in various departments, to make regulations and promote equality of employment.

Job profile: The sub divisional engineers would be responsible for bringing out various activities work in the water and sanitation department. They will also be responsible for supporting their seniors and preparing reports.

Eligibility:
A candidate must be between the age of 18 and 35 years as on 01.01.2009. However, relaxation can be claimed as per the rules.

Educational Qualifications: A candidate must have a degree in civil or mechanical engineering from a recognized university and a candidate must have studied and passed Punjabi up to matriculation level.

No. of posts: There are 45 posts for SDE in civil and 5 pots for SDE in mechanical branch.

Pay scale: The SDEs will be offered a pay scale of Rs15600-39100 + a grade pay of Rs5400 plus the other usual allowances.

Selection process: The candidates will be selected on the basis of merit. They will be called for the interviews after being shortlisted.

How to apply:
The candidates are required to apply as per the application format available on the website. They can get the application form by hand by a payment of Rs25 or by a DD of Rs75 (drawn in the favor of Secretary, PPSC payable at Patiala. The application fee is Rs50 for SC/ST/OBC and Rs 200 for GEN and there is no fee for ex-servicemen. The candidates must send the applications with the DD, copies of their certificates and two self addressed envelopes (with a stamp of Rs25 and with the post name on top of the envelope).

The last date to apply is 31st August 2009.

    Q.Selection will be done on which merit i.e. B-Tech percentage or there is some written exam will be conducted before interview.
