Profile:

Central Rice Research Institute, which is also known as Dhan Gaveshna Kendra in Oriya, was established under the Government of India. The institute is located near Vidyadharpur village, Orissa. The institute comes under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. The major objective of the institute is to perform rice researches in various disciplines which includes plant breeding and genetics, plant pathology and mycology, entomology etc. The institute is divided into various departments, each of which is seperately headed by a Departmental Head.

Job Profile:

1. Recruitment of Subject Matter Specialist:
Age Limit: Minimum age limit set for the post is 18 years while the maximum age limit set is 38 years as on 1 January 2010.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in the relevant subject is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.

2. Recruitment of Computer Assistant:
Age Limit: Minimum age limit set for the post is 18 years while the maximum age limit set is 45 years as on 1 January 2010.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs. 2800.

3. Recruitment of Program Assistant:
Age Limit: Minimum age limit set for the post is 18 years while the maximum age limit set is 30 years as on 1 January 2010.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in the relevant subject is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs. 2800.

4. Recruitment of Farm Manager:
Age Limit: Minimum age limit set for the post is 18 years while the maximum age limit set is 35 years as on 1 January 2010.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs. 2800.

5. Recruitment of Stenographer Grade-III:
Age Limit: Minimum age limit set for the post is 18 years while the maximum age limit set is 27 years as on 1 January 2010.
Educational Qualification: B.Sc. degree in the relevant subject is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs. 2400.

6. Recruitment of Driver:
Age Limit: Minimum age limit set for the post is 18 years while the maximum age limit set is 30 years as on 1 January 2010.
Educational Qualification: Matriculation from the recognized board is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay of Rs. 2000.
