Sumandeep College of Nursing was established in the year 2006 with the objective of serving the sufferers. It is a constituent unit of Sumandeep Vidyapeeth, which is a deemed university.

Sumandeep College of Nursing is offering the below-mentioned courses in the area of nursing:

In addition to the above-mentioned courses the college is also offering Ph. D in Nursing.

Course Duration and intake capacity:

The duration of UG course offered by the college is four years and the intake capacity of Sumandeep College of Nursing is 60 students. In addition to four years of UG Course, the students will have to take up the internship programme for a period of six months. For PG Course in nursing, the duration of the courses is two years and the intake capacity of the college is five students per branch.

Facilities at the College:

The library in Sumandeep College of Nursing is well-equipped with different newspapers, periodicals and journals relating to the field of medicine and education and various other professional books. A hospital called as Dhiraj General Hospital is functioning in the campus of the college with a bed-strength of more than 1000 patients. The hospital is well-equipped with operation theaters, Intensive Care Units, recovery room, etc…There is also a hostel with more secured and furnished rooms and the hostel is located just next to the college. Above all, the college is conducting educational tours regularly to offer a wide spectrum to the students apart from recreational tour once in a year.

Academic activities at the college:

In addition to offering quality education, the college is also encouraging students to take part in different activities for the sake of local people. In this connection, an exhibition was conducted by the students with focus on prevention & control of AIDS at the hospital attached to the college.
