Thadomal Shahani Engineering College in Mumbai is also known as the TSEC. The college is in Bandra in Mumbai. It is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE ). The college is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. It was established in the year 1983. It was the first to start the National Service Scheme.

Campus

The campus of the Thadomal Shahani Engineering College is a great one. The environment of the college is maintained in such a way that the studies can be conducted in a very peaceful and harmonious way. The library of the college is fully equipped with all the major books and journals on the entire subject that the college ahs to offer. There are more than 10000 volumes of books in the library and there are national and international journals as well.

Courses Offered

The courses offered by the college are Degree of Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Bio – Technology Engineering. The M.E. Degree Courses are Computer Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.

Admission Procedure

The admission to the college is based on the merit obtained by the student in the Maharstra Health Technical Common Entrance Test conducted by the Government of Maharastra for admission to the various engineering college of the state. The student should have the subject combination of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in order to appear for the test.

Placements

The placement cell of the college is well organized and has good links with the major software and chemical companies of the state and the nation. Giants like the Infosys, TCS and many other visit the campus and recruit students.
