Admission Process for UG Courses in TNAU

Applicants should have passed Higher Secondary Course or equivalent. Those who have applied for B.Sc. Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Home Science, Sericulture, B.Tech Biotechnology, Horticulture, Bioinformatics, Agricultural Information Technology and B.S Agribusiness Management should pass 10+2 with any one of the following group of subjects.

  • Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology
  • Physics, Biology Chemistry and any of the following elective subjects

  1. Biochemistry
  2. Microbiology
  3. Biotechnology
  4. Computer science
  5. Home Science

  • Botany, Zoology, Physics and Chemistry

Those who have applied for B.Tech with specialization in Agricultural Engineering, Food Process Engineering, Energy and Environmental Engineering should pass 10+2 in any of the following combination of subjects.

  • Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics
  • Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Computer science

Candidates seeking admission for undergraduate courses in TNAU should be natives of Tamil Nadu.

Application Procedure for UG courses in TNAU

Applications can be submitted via online method. Candidates need to create application account in order to provide entire information for admission. Before filling the online application the candidates should keep copies of recent passport size photographs, mark sheets obtained from the qualifying examinations like CBSE/HSE, and 10th class. Other documents like community reservation category certificate from Tamil Nadu or permanent residency certificate from Tamil Nadu (for candidates of open competition) must also be submitted.

Duly filled applications can be submitted after recheck. Candidates should affix a passport size photograph on the print out of completed application form. The form should carry the signatures of both candidate and his/her parents. The 3rd page of the application form print out has TNAU- POWER JYOTI challan. Application fees of Rs 625/- (for SC/ST/SCA Rs. 325/- including Rs. 25/- of bank charge) should be paid by the candidates at SBI branch showing copy of the above said challan. The application form along with fee paid slip and other necessary documents should be sent on or before the due date.
