Deogiri Institute of Engineering and Management Studies is one among the new generation engineering colleges, established in 2009. This AICTE approved institution is affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. The institute offers B.E, M.E and MBA courses in diverse areas of specialization. Admission to all of these programs is done according to the norms issued by directorate of technical education.

Admission Process in Deogiri Institute of Engineering and Management Studies

Candidates having the eligibility concerns as specified under Directorate of Technical Education can seek admission. Those who have completed 12th class studies with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects can apply for engineering degree programs. Such candidates must have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. Admission to eligible ones is done on the basis of Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET) or All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE). From next year onward, AIEEE will be replaced by ISEET.
Eligible candidates can also seek admission to second year of engineering degree. Diploma holders are eligible to have admission to concerned B.E stream by qualifying lateral entry entrance exam ie Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET).

In case of candidates seeking admission to MBA, graduation is the basic qualification required. Minimum marks percentage required are 50%. Such candidates should also qualify MAH-MBA/MMS–CET.
Engineering graduation from any recognized University is the basic qualification required for M.E (in the respective stream). Such candidates can look for admission either by qualifying GATE or institution level screening process. The screening process of the institution comprises of a written exam followed by interview. Written exam includes both objective as well as descriptive model questions. There will be 25 questions in objective section each carrying 2 marks. The number of descriptive questions is 5, each carrying 4 marks. Total marks allotted for written test is 70 and that for interview is 30.
Shortlisted candidates after selection process should submit certain documents prior to joining. After verification of required documents, candidates will be admitted to concerned course.
