The University of Kerala undertakes an entrance exam for its Ph. D based course. Section B and C are combined in one single questions paper. The maximum marks of this question paper are one hundred and carry duration of one hundred and forty minutes. The question is a unique way of representing the entire faculties question in a single attempt. The question paper is divided into two sections, Section B and Section C. Candidates are only entitled to answer those questions, from which they have been enrolled in registration.

Candidates have to answer twelve questions from Section B in one hundred words, out of the sixteen questions offered. Furthermore, they have to answer only one question from Section C, which contains three questions in five hundred words. Each of the questions in Section B, from each of the Faculty carries a maximum of ten marks and each of the questions in Section C, from each of the Faculty carries a maximum of forty marks. Candidates are advised to go through a large number of Mock based Test before appearing in the exam, in order to retain an experience of word limits answering method.
