The University of Kerala offers the course of B.H.M.S to the deserving candidates. There are five papers in the second year of the course.

The names of those are: • HOMOEOPATHIC MATERIA MEDICA • ORGANON OF MEDICINE AND PRINCIPLES OF HOMOEOPATHIC PHILOSOPHY • FORENSIC MEDICINE AND TOXICOLOGY • FORENSIC MEDICINE AND TOXICOLOGY • PATHOLOGY AND MICROBIOLOGY INCLUDING PARASITOLOGY, BACTERIOLOGY AND VIROLOGY (Paper – II)

The question paper carries a maximum of one hundred marks and has three hours as duration. There are two sections in each of the paper namely, Section A and Section B. There are three questions in the first section. The first main question is a Long answer type and carries eighteen marks. The second and third main questions, each has sixteen marks. Section B has a maximum of fifty marks and also has three questions. The first main question is of Long answer type and contains twenty marks. The second and third main question offers a maximum of fifteen marks. All the questions in both of the sections are compulsory and the second and third main questions in both of the sections are divided into sub-questions which are short answer type.
