The Common Entrance Exam conducted by the Kerala Government for granting admission in the field of engineering, architecture, medical and other courses has different requirements. This exam is a sure shot gateway to secure admissions for Bachelors in some of the best and reputed institutes and colleges in the state. A candidate should have a minimum of 55% in order to appear for the exam.

The physics paper comprises of several topics from the graduation level. However, they are dealt with in a greater detail as an attempt is made to capture the nuances of the topics. A candidate can expect questions related to topics like elementary physics, general physics, units and measurement, mechanics, motion, scalars and vectors, energy, heat, properties of matter, Inertia, mass, refraction, reflection of light etc.

There is no steadfast or fixed syllabus for the exam. The physics paper comes in conjunction with the chemistry paper for both engineering and medical entrance exams. The duration for the exam is 150 minutes. The total number of questions is 120 and the total number of marks is 480. All questions have four alternatives to choose from. There is working space provided to solve the equations etc.
