Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Trauma and Orthopedics provides BSc. courses in Radiography, Operation Theater Technology and Anaesthesia Technology. SGITO is an autonomous institute established by Government of Karnataka Act. The institute is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The institute is recognized by Indian Nursing Council and Karnataka State Nursing Council for providing the courses.
Admissions are based on the candidate’s merit in the qualifying exam followed by an interview. Candidates have to first send an application along with their marks in qualifying exam. The shortlisted candidates are then called for interview after which the final selections are done.

The Institute has been known to establish nee benchmarks in the relatively new subject of Trauma and Orthopedics as well as Radiography. The Institute is working on offering newer level of laboratories as well as medical based equipments to enable the candidates to provide quality education. The Institute has been awarded the status of autonomous due to the elite standard of infrastructural facilities as well as renowned staff of teaching members.

Courses Offered:

1.    B.Sc.Radiography (Imaging Technology) (20 seats)
2.    B.Sc. Operation Theater Technology (20 seats)
3.    B.Sc. Anaesthesia Technology (10 seats)

Eligibility criteria:

Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exams with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with atleast 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST). Candidates should also be at a minimum age of seventeen years as on 01st of July of the ensuing year of the admission. Candidates belonging to the reservation categories earn relaxation in the upper age limit.

How to Apply:

The application form will be directly available from the institute and can also be obtained by post by sending a request for the form along with a demand draft and a self addressed envelope. Candidates should provide the registration number at the top bottom corner of the requisite letter. They should also provide a specimen of their signature at the back side of the DD. Candidates is advised to write the entire letter in their own handwriting with a ball black or blue pen. Writing with fountain pen should strictly be avoided.

    This is i am writing for my sister.She is completed her Diploma in Anaesthesia in one reputed medical college in Kerala.She is having 6 yrs experience.Now she is working in Kuwait MOH.Whether she can study Bsc Anaesthesia course in your institution.Because of her job she can’t attend the course on regular.whether distance education is possible in your institution.Please respond for this mail.
