Application Form for Film and Television Institute of India Entrance Exam
The Film and Television Institute of India Entrance Exam is as the name suggest an exam held for those interested in the field of television and films.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who wish to apply for the Computer Graphics and Animation course must have finished their 10+2 class. Those candidates who would like to join the Cinematography, Feature Film Screenplay, Acting, Writing etc along with Editing and Direction courses must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized College or University. Applicants for the Audiography course must have studied Physics in class 12. Students who want an admission to Art Direction and Production Design course ought to have graduate degree in sculpture, painting, interior design or in architecture and applied art. The candidates will be chosen on the basis of the marks they have achieved in the entrance exam. An interview will also be conducted afterwards.
Application Procedure
The application form can be obtained by two methods. They are:
Online application
The candidates can apply for the exam online. This can be done through the authorized website of the FTII. The instructions on how to fill the form will also be available in this website.
Offline application
The candidates can obtain the application form in addition to the prospectus either directly from the office of the FTII or through post. The price of the application form is Rs. 2000/- (Rs. 1650/- for candidates of the backward categories). Those candidates who wish to get their forms by post should send a request letter to the Account Officer, FTII along with a DD of the requisite amount. It should be payable at Pune. The completed application form ought to be sent to the FTII as early as possible. The relevant documents should accompany the application.
How to fill the application form ?
A few things to be kept in mind by the candidate:
- The aspirant’s should read the directions from the prospectus carefully.
- The aspirant’s should fill the form in capital only. They should be careful not to overwrite.
- The aspirant’s should keep retain the Challan from the bank where the student paid the fees.
- The Challan of the cash payment also should be kept safely.
- The aspirant’s must provide their signature at the space indicated.
- A recent photo of the aspirant should be fixed in the space provided.
