Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Indian School of Mines M.Sc. in Chemistry Entrance Exam, the candidates’ should have completed their 3-year B.Sc. degree course with Chemistry as Honors / Major / Main / Equivalent  subject, Mathematics as a subsidiary subject, and another subsidiary  from Physics, Statistics, Electronics and Computer Science. The candidates in the final year programme of B.Sc. can also apply for the same.

How to Apply?

The application form along with information prospectus of School of Mines M.Sc. in Chemistry Entrance Exam can be obtained from the office of the Deputy Registrar (Academic & Student Welfare) by paying an application fee of Rs. 1300/- (Rs.650/- for SC / ST / PD candidates). The same can also be obtained by post by sending a demand draft of Rs.1,350/- (Rs.700/- for SC/ST/PD candidates) drawn in favour of the Registrar, I.S.M., Dhanbad payable at Dhanbad. Also along with it a self addressed unstamped envelope of A4 size to the Deputy Registrar (Academic & Student Welfare), ISM must be sent. One can also download the application form from the official website of ISM (http://www.ismdhanbad.ac.in). The completed application form in all respect has to be sent to Deputy Registrar (Academic & Student Welfare), Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad-826004, Jharkhand on or before the last date.

How to fill the Form?

  • Read the information brochure before filling the form
  • Fill the application form in candidates’ own handwriting
  • All the columns have to be filled neatly and legibly furnishing the exact details
  • No columns should be left blank
  • Paste three recent identical passport size color photographs at the appropriate places
  • The name, date of birth and other personal details entered in the form should match with that in the degree certificate
