Indian Institute of Technology (Patna) has an urban campus spreaded in an area of 600 acres. The institute is located at Patna, Bihar. Mr. G. Madhavan Nair is the present Chairman of the institute. Mr. Anil K. Bhowmick is the Director of the institute. THe institute actually came into existence in the year 2008 as an autonomous institute with the aim of providing education and research opportunities in the field of Science, Engineering and Technology. The institute is considered among as one of the eight new IITs functional between 2008-2009. The classrooms of the academic building of institute are equipped with latest equipments.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited from eligible Indian Nationals for filling up the following vacant positions of Junior Assistant and Junior Technical Superintendent in Indian Institute of Technology (Patna). Candidates must ensure their eligibility in advance for applying for the specified post.

Eligibility:

Candidates must have age below than the prescribed maximum age limit i.e. 32 years for being eligible for the posts of Junior Assistant and Junior Technical Superintendent in Indian Institute of Technology (Patna). Candidates having age more than the prescribed age limit, will not be considered eligible for applying. There may be relaxation provided in the upper age limit for candidates belonging to reserved categories.

Educational Qualification:

Junior Assistant: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with knowledge of Computer Applications. Candidates should also possess minimum two years of experience in relevant field.

Junior Technical Superintendent: Diploma in Engineering from a recognized university with minimum two years of experience in relevant field. Candidtaes should have done Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Civil Engineering/ Computer Science / Chemical Engineering.

Pay Scale:

Junior Assistant: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2000.
Junior Technical Superintendent: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

Selection Process:

Selection process for the above two specified positions is comprises of a Written Test (if required) and Personal Interview Test. Only shortlisted candidates will be allowed to appear in the interview test. Candidates must prepare well for the interview test.
