Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar was set up in the year 2008 by Ministry of Human Resource Development which in turn comes under the Government of India. The institute was established as an public education and research institute. The institute is located at Rupnagar, Punjab and has its campus spreaded in an area of around 520 acres. Initially, the institute was named as Indian Institute of Technology Punjab but later the name of institute was changed to its present name. The institute is determined to to provide technical educational in various fields to its students.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited from eligible and qualified Indian nationals for filling up the following vacant positions of Superindent Engineer, Deputy Registrar, Executive Engineer, Medical Officer, Junior Engineer, Junior Accounts Officer, Staff Nurse, Junior Hindi Translator etc.

1. Recruitment of Junior Superintendent:
No. of posts: Only 6 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree with atleast 2 years of experience is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

2. Recruitment of Junior Assistant:
No. of posts: Only 5 posts are available.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree with knowledge of computer office applications is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2000.

3. Recruitment of Pharmacist:
No. of posts: Only 1 post si available.
Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent from any recognized board is required for the specified post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2000.

4. Recruitment of Junior Laboratory Assistant:
No. of posts: Only 1 post is available.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Science from any recognized institute or university is required for the post.
Pay Scale: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2000.

Application Fee:

An application fee of Rs. 50 is ned to be submitted by the candidates, who are interested in applying for any of the above specified position. The application fee must be submitted through the means of a demand draft drawn in favour of Registrar, IIT Ropar payable at Rupnagar. No application fee is need to be submitted by SC/ST candidates.

Selection Process:

Selection of candidates will be made strictly on the basis of their performance at the time of personal interview test.

How to apply: Candidates are required to send the completely filled in application form alongwith the supporting documents and requisite amount of application fee. All the above mentioned enclosures must be sent on or before the last date for the reciept of application.
